Designed to keep one's identity hidden, Venetian masks were used for many years at masquerade balls and Mardi Gras events. Their use was severely restricted during the 15th century in Venice, Italy. The day the restrictions were lifted became known as the Carnival of Venice.

This black and gold full faced mask is made from hard plastic and is about 6.5" tall 6" wide. It features a pointed mouth. This mask has a beautiful aged finish along with music notes and pictures painted right on it to add to the design! It would be great to wear in any masquerade ball or as an additional piece to a lovely costume.
